El Torcal is, for the geologist and naturalist, one of the most fascinating and unusual of Andalucia's natural parks. It is a massive high plateau of limestone, weathered through the ages resulting in strangely shaped peaks, rock formations and natural sculptures.
Flora and fauna are in abundance and there are sign-posted walks and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
El Torcal can be reached via Antequera from Malaga and then onto the C3310 to Villanueva de la Concepcion.
Try to avoid weekends when it is very busy.
